one thing...

"Now as they went on their way, Jesus entered a village. And a woman named Martha welcomed him into her house. And she had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet and listened to his teaching. But Martha was distracted with much serving. And she went up to him and said, “Lord, do you not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Tell her then to help me.” But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her."

Meet Sophie!

Sophie is a stegosaurus made with much love for a sweet little girl called Rebecca xx
(The story of Sophie is quite a remarkable one, because she was being sold in a shop as a blanket, when in actual fact she was a dinosaur.)

At my most lovely school we embrace and explore the concept of ‘making children’s thinking visible’. It’s a lovely philosophy and in this exercise the kids were shown a picture of Charley Harper’s which they were encouraged to interperate using a variety of mediums. How amazing are these pictures? And these girls are only 5 years old J.

paper boat mobile

So a little while ago I made a lovely little mobile and someone bought it from me, that was niceJ Then some more people liked it too so they asked me to make more, and so I did. So here is the next one, it is called ‘the discovery’.  I love the way the boats float, as if they were each on their own little sea. They move so gently in the breeze and suggest the calmest of seas (and airs). Anyway, they go for R300 so if you’d like one please just let me know! Postage is free J
